What is the LD Champion Programme?
Beechwood Surgery are part of the pilot LD champions programme in Lancashire.
The programme has been developed to help tackle health inequalities for our learning disability patients and to help them feel supported.
We try and ensure that the experience of attending annual review or any other appointment is made as stress free as possible. We provide information in advance via easy read literature, have dedicated team members on hand to liaise with and can offer links to the LD facilitators within Lancashire for additional support.
At Beechwood Surgery the LD champions are Lisa (GP assistant) and Clare (Practice Manager).
